Agony of Going Deep

The agony of going deep in a poker tournament and not quite getting to the final table is almost unbearable. You grind away through the entire tournament and build up your stack the way only you can and then it happens. You get all the chips in the middle with the best hand and at the turn of a card they are whisked away with no regard to the blood, sweat and tears you put into your game to earn them. It stings and it stings deeply. You want to do something about it but you can’t. You sit and watch as all of your stack is pushed in the direction of your opponent and wonder, “Why do I play this game? Why do you put yourself through it day after day and week after week?

We do it because we love it. We love the ride. We love the emotion. Most importantly we do it because we love to win!
