Day 1b of the World Poker Tour: Legends of Poker tournament at the Bicycle Casino has just concluded.  Today saw J.C. Tran take the lead, becoming the only player to hold more than 200,000 chips, and having an impressive lead over second place.

The tournament has attracted an impressive 757 entrants thanks to a strong showing of interest in the second day.  There were 435 runners in Day 1B – which was welcome news after a disappointing showing on the first day of the tournament.  The second day saw some re-buys from pros eliminated during Day 1a, but the re-entries were not always worthwhile, with the second day ending in a similar fashion to the first for many of the re-buying pros.  For some, however, it was a good investment – current leader Tran was among those who were taking their second bite of the cherry, as was defending champion Andy Frankenberger – who is still in, although not making an impressive showing at this time.

The standings, at the end of Day 1b, were:

1. J.C. Tran – 265,000
2. Young Man – 189,600
3. Gary Miles – 177,300
4. Michael Woo – 167,000
5. Paul Lieu – 148,000
6. Marek Uharcek – 146,100
7. Andrew Taylor – 142,000
8. Michael Winnett – 139,200
9. Owen Crowe – 138,500
10. Henry So – 136,800
