This week saw the release of poker Squares, a poker strategy game for the Kindle. You can play Poker Squares on any Kindle e-ink enabled device, making use of the Active Content system.
Poker Squares is a mix of Poker and Patience. The game was developed by Two Way Media, and challenges players to make the highest score by laying out cards on a 5×5 grid.
Poker Squares is a great practice tool for poker players, and a fun challenge for puzzle fans. The game has a built-in leaderboard, allowing players to challenge themselves to come up with ever-more creative combinations.
“We aim to bring our puzzle games to every possible device, and in Poker Square’s case, the Kindle is absolutely ideal. All the game requires is the 5-way controller, and it looks great on a black and white screen,” said James Turner, Two Way Media’s Chief Executive. “In its former guise the game has generated a dedicated audience on TV, and we are proud to bring it to a new audience on the Kindle. Watch this space for the Kindle Fire version!”
The game costs just USD1.99, and is available to download from the Kindle Store now.
