The World Series of Poker start date is drawing closer and closer, and even more online poker sites are launching satellite tournaments. The latest addition to the schedule is a satellte from Ladbrokes, which will give you a chance to earn a seat at the tournament by coming first in a poker game - without actually having to play even a single hand of poker.
The company is running a series of World Series of Poker Lottery Tournaments. Kate McLennan, Head of Poker at Ladbrokes, said “At Ladbrokes Poker our mission is to bring poker to the people. So what could be better than giving our players the chance to qualify for the World Series of Poker - the biggest poker event of the year - without even playing one hand? Now there’s a story for your table.”
The lottery tournament works by every player going all0in on every hand. If you qualify then you are put through a daily satellite. Winners of the satellite get a seat at a weekly tournament, and then there’s the big final tournament where three people will win a trip to the World Series of Poker.
The toournament buy-in is just 20 cents, and you don’t even have to be logged in while the tournament is going on. Your stack will be played all-in for every hand automatically until you bust out, or win.
The tournament’s prize package is worth EUR6,000.
