Lederer Returns to Live Poker Gaming

Professional poker player and personality Howard Lederer made a return to live poker gaming earlier this month. Lederer was the president of Tiltware LLC, and was at the center of the controversy when the department of Justice raided several online poker sites during “Black Friday”. When Full Tilt proved unable to pay back the balances of US players after the closure of their American sites, it’s easy to see why Lederer became an unpopular figure in the industry.
After more than a year of negotiations, Full Filt has been sold to PartyPoker, and US players will be getting their money back before the end of the year; sadly, affiliates won’t be seeing any of their funds.
Mr Lederer spoke up about the controversy, and apologized for the problems that players have faced, but will it be enough to see him welcomed back into the industry? Lederer himself is willing to take the chance and find out – he was spotted playing in cash games at the Bellagio and Aria earlier this month. The games he played took place in private salons, however, and extra security was posted by both casinos while Lederer was present. It looks like it might take a little longer for the Full Tilt reputation to heal.
