The Mouth Nears Final Table
The prospects of a famous “Matusow Meltdown” have WSOP watcher’s hanging on every hand as WSOP Event 19 , the $2,500 No Limit Holdem event, draws to a conclusion.
At present 12 players remain with Mike Matusow sitting in 7th position with 410,000 chips with blinds at 8000/16000 and ante’s 2000. The final 12 comprises some big names inlcuding John Phan and Humberto Brenes, making Matusow’s position even more vulnerable given the average stack is 422,000.

The stage is truly set for Matusow to now stand and be counted or again provide the entertainment value of Shakesperean tragedy as was the case in his famous bust out in the 2004 WSOP which reduced “The Mouth” to tears.
Like a watching train wreck in slow-motion, you know you shouldn’t watch but it’s hard to draw yourself away.
