The third day of the European poker Tour Berlin: 5,000 Euro No Limit Hold’em main event has ended.  Today, the field was shrank to 24 players.  The action was brisk – the field played into the money late in Day 2, so it was quick to shrink today.  The survivors will return for Day 4 tomorrow, and will play down to the final eight.

The chip leader at the end of Day 3 was Kevin MacPhee, who came out of the day on 2,526,000 chips.  Theo Jorgensen is hot on his tail with 2,408,000.  Stefan Huber, who had been the chip leader at the end of Day 2, is still standing strong, in fifth place with 1,850,000 chips.

Noteable eliminations included Jan Collado (who just missed out on a place in Day 4, busting out in 25th to take home 21,000 Euros), PokerStars players Vlad Zguba and Julian Thew, and Chris Dombrowski, Bruno Fitoussi, and Guillaume De La Gorce.  All of those players finished in the money, however, taking at least 9,000 Euros home to remember the event by.

Come back tomorrow for more updates on the European Poker Tour Berlin Main Event, we’ll have updates on Day 4 and the final table as they come in.
